The matter above-mentioned alongwith connected matter was listed before the Hon'ble Court, on 11th February, 2022, when the Court was pleased to pass the following order:

"IA No 12557/2022 in TC (Crl) No 2 of 2016 

1. The applicant Sukhdev Singh, seeks interim bail for a short period since his brother died on 26 January 2022 in District Ropar, Punjab. 

2. We have heard Mr Nimish Chib, counsel for the applicant and Mr Sanjay Kumar Tyagi, counsel on behalf of the Central Bureau of Investigation with Mr Pranay Ranjan. 

3. In the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the ground for interim bail noted above, we order and direct that the applicant be released on interim bail for a period of two weeks, subject to such terms and conditions, as may be fixed by the trial court. The period of two weeks shall commence after the actual release of the applicant on interim bail.

 4. The application for interim bail is accordingly disposed of."

Accordingly certified copy of the Court's Order sent to the concerned trial court and superintendent of District Jail, Rupnagar for necessary compliance by speed post as well as email on 11-02-2022.

It is submitted that email dated 16-2-2022 has been received from Superintendent, District Jail, Rupnagar stating therein that the Superintendent, Central Prison Jaipur (Rajasthan) have repeatedly shared official communication that subject said prisoner is WANTED in numerous cases at Central Prison Jaipur (Rajasthan) and should not be release from the prison. Copy of the same is enclosed herewith for kind perusal of the Hon'ble Court.

It is further submitted that Mr.Wajeeh Shafiq, Advocate has on 21-2-2022 e-filed application for urgent directions to the Jail Superintendent, District Jail, Roopnagar, State of Punjab after serving its copy on otherside. The application has been registered as Interlocutory Application No.25792 of 2022. Copy of the same is being circulated herewith for kind perusal of the Hon'ble Court.

Transferred Case is ready of hearing.

The Application for interim bail in the matter above-mentioned is listed before the Hon'ble Court with this Office Report.
