The matter above mentioned was listed before the Hon'ble Court, on 25th January, 2022, with an office report dated 25.01.2022, when the Hon'ble Court was pleased to pass the following order:

" Mr. Samar Vijay Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the SIT, has placed on record the particulars in a tabular form showing in how many cases the investigation has been completed and the charge-sheets have been filed. It is reported that in other cases the investigation is in progress.

From the report, it appears that, though the first FIRs are from 2016 onwards, the charge-sheets have been filed only in the month of October/November, 2021. We impress upon and direct the investigating officer of the SIT, Lucknow to complete the investigation in the other cases at the earliest and submit the charge-sheet, if a case is made out, before the concerned Magistrate immediately thereafter.

Insofar as the cases in which the charge-sheets are already filed, we direct the respective Chief Judicial Magistrates to frame the charges in those cases where the charge-sheets are already  filed, after following the procedure as required, within a period of four weeks from today and see to it that the trial in all those cases are concluded at the earliest.

Mr. K.M. Nataraj, learned ASG appearing on behalf of the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways has submitted that the Union Government has now come out with a fresh comprehensive information in which full particulars are to be given now with respect to the accident claims, motor accident claims etc. He has submitted that the same is yet to be finalized and consultation with the NIC is going on. We observe that the Union Government and the NIC shall finalize the format at the earliest so that the same can be implemented pan-India and which may assist in curbing such fake/false claims.

It is submitted that after the aforesaid Court's Order no document / report has been filed so far.

The Petition alongwith applications above-mentioned is listed before the Hon'ble Court with this Office Report.
