1. This Hon'ble Court, on 06-04-2022 (notice issue date), has been pleased to pass the following order:

" The learned Solicitor General appearing for the petitioner-  Union of India, submits that the respondent was granted permanent lease and as a condition of permanent lease, half of the flats were to be given to the Government of India. Therefore, even if the petitioner has failed to make the payment of arrears of rent, the remedy is to recover the arrears but the petitioner is entitled to continue in possession as a permanent Lessee under the said Lease.

 Issue notice.

 Ms. Aarthi Ranjan, learned Advocate-on-Record, accepts notice on behalf of the sole respondent.

 Let counter affidavit be filed within four weeks.

 There shall be stay of operation of the Ejectment Order in the meantime. There is a dispute as to whether certain flats have been surrendered or not. The parties shall maintain status quo regarding the flats in question. "
